Local business owners are the epitome of the entrepreneurial spirit. Female owned companies have grown leaps and bounds in the last 10 years and Minnesota is a hot house for some of the best real estate agents, interior design firms, and local businesses ran by a slew of talented women.

As I start to feel more established in my own business, I wanted to start something new in 2017. A bit of a “girl power” type myself, I like to learn and collaborate with other like minded women who have that same entrepreneurial spirit in order to keep motivation and confidence going in the right direction. SO I set out to find the perfect photographer, in which I found Laura Rae, and a handful of great local gals who we can all pull inspiration from. Some established, some new but all brave to go for it and take their futures into their own hands!

Once a month Adorned Homes will feature a talented lady who is carving the way in her own field, branching out to grow her business and personal life by being a girl boss!  Little bit of fashion, a little bit of design and a lot of talent! The next 2 months will begin as follows!

January; 

Amber Schaefer, independent consultant with Lularoe. This company was started by a single mom looking for a way to spend more quality time with her kids. Her mantra? “If you want to be someone who gets things done, act like you already are”. This crystalized in her mind and led to her success in growing the company. This feature will be live next week so don’t miss it!

February;

Lauren Engen, interior designer with Laura Engen Interior Design. Laura has ten years of experience creating interiors for more than 200 clients from coast to coast! She has worked on some amazing projects and is another Mn local with a great story.
