2001 Rambler:

As I said before in my previous post, this home just needed some tender loving care! It was not an old home that needed major repairs so the work was pretty much cosmetic. I try to give you all good ideas on what a renovation like this would cost but keep in mind most of the work was NOT hired out. A lot of blood and sweat was put into this home!

When renovating a home on a budget you need to be very conscious of what your future plans are. Is this your “forever” home or will you be moving in 5 years? It is important to keep in mind what future buyers may look for if you are planning to sell in the near future. Kitchens and bathrooms are two of the best projects to complete on a home to get a return on your investment.  

The Nowthen home got a complete cosmetic overhaul; new carpeting, paint, countertops…… Most of the budget was spent in the kitchen and master bath.
