This winter I had the opportunity to present one of our renovation projects to the editors at Spaces Magazine. Spaces is a prestigious Minnesota home design magazine in which their February issue was themed “Before/After 2015”. They host portfolio review events throughout the year and invite local builders/designers to present their work for the magazine. This event was held at Gabberts Design Studio & Fine Furniture at The Galleria in Edina.

Even though I have years of experience in renovations and design through our investment projects and my NKBA certification, this was still an intimidating process as I was up against numerous well-known builders and designers around the Twin Cities! I presented the Tudor style Shoreview, MN project in which we renovated the entire home top to bottom.

A few weeks after the review I received an email that I was chosen for a large feature in the upcoming issue! They then sent out the journalist who would be writing the article about our project. She interviewed us at our current renovation property and followed us around for a couple of hours to see how we work.

The February/March issue finally made its debut and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of the article. It represented Dan and I perfectly. Our teamwork is what has brought us to the place we are today. I do hands on work that many woman would turn away from helping us to move quickly. We aren’t your average “flippers”, we take great pride in our workmanship and design!

As the front page of the magazine said “It takes Teamwork!”. It definitely does!
