Wow, it has been a longggg time since we have shared anything on the blog but we are back and excited to share regular updates with you!

Since the last time we were here there has been handfuls of completed projects + real estate sales+ the new website launch + the studio + new team members! Right around the time of our last post is when we closed on the new studio and if you don’t follow Adorned Homes on instagram then you have no idea what we are talking about!! Well, we purchased a building in White Bear Lake, MN and have been in the process of a complete renovation of the building, inside & out, for the last 6 months. This will be the future home of Adorned Homes as well as a collaborative coop space for 3 tenants. We are carrying 2 full lines of rugs, a dealer for custom & semi-custom cabinetry plus have a fully functional kitchen that we will use for experiential events with clients and colleagues. About the project:

If you are familiar with North Oaks then you know it features beautiful, wooded lots, multiple lakes, miles of walking trails and is just a short drive to the cities. We love this area and when we get to work in the neighborhood it is an extra treat.

Our clients recently purchased their home with the intent to renovate right away. A full kitchen remodel was first on the list. The house was your typical North Oaks, MN home; custom built on a beautiful, wooded lot but in dire need of an update. Along with custom home builds comes a slew of unique characteristics that were designed specific to the old homeowner. This one was not excluded from that. The kitchen featured a full wet bar area complete with a padded, leather bar top and carpet wrapping the whole thing. Perfect if you have a wild night and pass out right there! We have seen anything from indoor grilles, sunken hot tubs surrounded by shag carpet and bathroom fixtures in every color of the rainbow…green, blue, brown, pink…

The homeowners had experience working in construction so they approached us specifically to design their space and they would execute the construction. This situation is pretty typical, we design the space with layouts, drafting, material selections, cabinetry design, ordering assistance and product lists. A complete package so the contractor can execute. In this case the homeowner stood as the contractor. They wanted a modern kitchen that had simple lines and classic materials with depth and character. Scandinavian design is very similar to this aesthetic and fit in perfectly with the North Oaks vibe. Walnut cabinetry warmed the space while the white countertops and backsplash kept it bright! As always, the photos speak for themselves so take a peak and enjoy!
