On the eastern side of White Bear Lake, just shy of 2 years ago, we started design planning for a full home furnishing project. The homeowners had recently sold their old, cape cod style house on the lake for an upgrade a few houses down. The new place had great bones but needed some renovations. The owners wanted to renovate, furnish and move right in! Dream clients! They brought in local home builder, Building Concept Design, for the renovation and Adorned Homes came in with our full home furnish + decor service to make the move as simple as possible.

The large home had many rooms and multiple styles to pull together which was easily done with the right furnishings and thoughtful updates. We added statement lighting, wallpaper and a neutral paint color to the walls to let the furnishings stand out.

Furnishing after a large scale renovation or new build is something that I can not preach enough about. This is an imperative final piece to a project that makes a house all that it could be. Adding a furnishing plan along with your pre-renovation/build design plans can assure that your project comes full circle upon completion. Thoughtfully placed furniture, lighting, rugs and custom ordered pieces are the icing on the cake! We definitely love to incorporate special pieces, coveted artwork and family heirlooms into furnishing designs but the old Ikea table can stay at the old house. Doing this at the

beginning, along with the initial floor plans can assure that you end up with a home that meets your unique lifestyle. Fabrics with durability, correct furniture sizes, layouts that are functional, rugs perfectly placed, lighting where you need it, cozy bed linens. As a result, you get everything you need to enjoy your life in your new space!

When I think back to the start of the product delay mayhem, this was it! I went on maternity leave as we were waiting for final pieces and came back to absolute chaos in the delivery realm. As always, it was all worth the wait. Here it is, the complete Dellwood Lake Home Project!
